1 THE EVENT! Close to 4000 people will gather at the Clifton Town Park to celebrate imagination and the arts! The park is magically transformed into a wonderland of sights and sounds as the best children's entertainers, activities companies, and exhibitors take place in celebrating everything about being a kid in Northern Virginia.
	2 HISTORY! Clifton has maintained the charm and feeling of a Norman Rockwell painting. The town has been around since the 1700's—initially as a plantation and earlier as Indian hunting grounds. The railroad started Clifton on its way to the town we know. The Civil War played an important part in the journey also. During the war Clifton was known as Devereux Station. In 1868 Devereux Station became known as Clifton Station. In 1869 a Post Office was established and the town started growing with stores, schools and a community feeling.
3 THE COMMUNITY! Northern Virginia represents one of the fastest growing areas in the country. As fast as it is growing, it's also developing a remakable fabric of communities. 	4 The Mission! The 2008 KidFest is hosted by the the Clifton Betterment Association. The CBA is organized to promote the interests and general welfare of the Town of Clifton in Fairfax County, Virginia; encourage the renovation, restoration, and orderly development of the Town; and sponsor and support cultural and recreational activities in the community. The CBA has provided funds to groups such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Lions, PTA, and local churches.
5 THE SUPPORT! One of the most important features of any festival is it's volunteer staff. Area businesses and local residents give their time and talent during the festival providing an abundance of volunteers. And, generous contributions from the area's businesses assist in meeting the costs of production excellence.
	6 ENTERTAINMENT! The entertainment schedule features different local, regional and national children's performance acts. Dedicated to showcasing the arts, the festival is designed to provide an adventure in sound, interaction, and magic.
